How We Test Sites
Every site in our directory is evaluated through a hands-on testing process by our editorial team. We don't rely on screenshots, press releases, or the site's own marketing claims.

Sub-Score Criteria Explained

Our commitment:
- Affiliate partnerships never influence ratings or rankings.
- Sites cannot pay for higher scores or more favorable reviews.
- We review sites that offer affiliate programs and those that don't. If a site is good, it gets a good score regardless.
- Premium listings are clearly labeled and do not affect editorial scores.
- Reviewers are not compensated based on affiliate revenue from specific sites.
Update Cadence
Stale reviews are inaccurate reviews. Here's our update schedule:
- Full re-verification: Every site is re-tested at least once every 6 months.
- Spot checks: Top-traffic reviews are checked monthly for factual accuracy (pricing changes, feature updates, outages).
- User reports: When users flag outdated information, we prioritize re-verification.
- Best-of lists: Refreshed whenever a new high-scoring site enters a category or an existing site's score changes.
Corrections & Feedback
If you spot an error in any review or believe a score is unfair, contact us. We investigate every report and update reviews when warranted. All corrections are noted with a “Last Updated” timestamp.
